Lord, as this new Church year begins, as the cycle of Christ-centered prayer and worship begins, begin a new thing in me;
Discipline my heart to trust your more and myself less.
Discipline my mind to understand you more and more
Discipline my body to work your will more faithfully and fervently
Discipline my soul to love you more earnestly.
Lord, as you begin this new cycle of worship, make me a part of it, especially in this new exercise of regularly recording a prayer and sharing that work with others.
Let my thoughts and words be honest and true
and let my efforts help and encourage others to trust you and speak to you more often.
